The Far North Safer Community Council (FNSCC) has been operating in the Far North for over 24 years and started as a pilot initiative with the Crime Prevention Unit (CPU) of the Ministry of Justice. The original focus was crime prevention, but it has evolved into a wider and more holistic approach to the social and economic well-being of the community through ‘Collective Impact’.
